In the "Video Market Review in Runet" prepared by IAB Russia in 2016, video advertising in Russia grew by 19% to 6.6 billion rubles, which is 24% of the volume of branded advertising on the Internet and 5% of all online advertising in Russia.

The key driver of growth was the development of video advertising in social networks. The native rollers with autorun appeared in the web version of the social network "Odnoklassniki" as early as the end of 2015. In the spring of 2016, a new format of video advertising for the mobile version of the network was added - pre-rolls with more than 250 targeting settings - and in December Mail.Ru Group introduced the "Video +" advertising format - desktop and mobile video with cross-frequency in "VKontakte" and "Classmates." The potential weekly coverage of the product is more than 50 million users in Russia, which exceeds the coverage of any other media resource in Russia.
